Georg Shandor Hayde,born in 1955 in Budapest, Hungary

My Academic Background
Senior Grade (Abitur) in Stuttgart, Germany.
Educational training as furniture restorer and carpenter for courtly furniture in Bamberg, Germany.
Educational training as art conservator in Doerner Institut, Munich, Germany,
under instruction from Mr. Bruno Heimburg and Mr. Peter Berkes.

My Professional Experience
Art Conservator in Kunsthaus Museum, Zurich, Switzerland.
Art Conservator in Alte Pinakothek, Munich, where, among other things, I worked as part of a team to restore the paintings of A. Durrer that had been damaged by acid.
Self-employed art conservator since 1988, working for various private and public collections including the Bavarian Royal Collection in Munich, the Segantini Museum in St. Moritz, Switzerland, and the Hilti Art Foundation in Liechtenstein.
Freelance lecturer and teacher.
Technical designer and advisor for Track & Slide since 1999.

My passion is to restore paintings and objects in a reserved and respectful manner, to design and create frames that accentuate a painting, and to develop products such as Track & Slide(r) and Track & Wire(tm), which make hanging, storing and exhibiting more safe and efficient.
